AWARD WINNER BUSINESS SECTION

 

Ystesund Gard is a 200 acre Organic Norwegian Mountain Forest - Farm which was established in 1730, located in a sparsely populated and picturesque mountain region of Fyresdal Telemark in Southern Norway. The Mountain Lodge was built in 2000 and is at an elevation of 565m and overlooks Sundsvatn, a lake with numerous Brown Trout which visitors are welcome to fish.

 

The surrounding area is a fantastic large wilderness district with alpine meadows, shimmering lakes, cascading waterfalls and mystical forests where you can escape the crowds and allow your senses to come alive.

Spring Flowers - Bird Song - Blue Skies - Mountain Breezes - Mists - Golden Leaves - Frosts - Northern Lights - Sparkling Snow.

 

 Wildlife: -

Red Squirrel/Beaver/Lynx/Moose/Wolf/Reindeer/Golden Eagle/Black Grouse/White Hare/Ptarmigan/Pine Marten and on a rare occasion Brown Bear.

 

 

All - weather access is along the meandering maintained Fjellgardane gravel track FV405-01.

(6 English miles/10 km from Veum and 12 English miles/20 km on the RV355 from Fyresdal).
