Conservation Crafts is an Award Winning Forestry and Estate Services business based in Telemark Norway and Derbyshire England. All work is undertaken by Insured, Trained, Practical and Experienced persons used to working hard in all weathers and on varied terrain. The business commitment is to use viable, sustainable and safe work methods including the use of Bio-Fuels/Oils in all Husqvarna Chainsaws to minimize environmental concerns.

Trained Clydesdale Draught - Horses assist us with different work schedules. Clydesdales are an agile, powerful and intelligent breed. A trained horse causes little disturbance to sensitive land, flora, fauna and tree roots. Difficult terrain can be safely worked due to high manoeuvrability. It’s a viable and sustainable work method which can be integrated with machine operations if needed. Selective thinning of tree lengths can be carried out without tracks, encouraging even forest development, reducing windblown risks and increasing future standing timber values. In addition, transportation of seedlings and extraction of windblown trees to avoid problems from beetle damage to standing trees is possible. Harrowing of steep, traditional, hay meadows encouraging seeding and fresh growth of wild flowers, can also be achieved.
